Humanitarian Familiarization Trip to Jordan and Israel

Ambassador Warren W. Tichenor meeting with Iraqi refugees in Hay Nazal, Jordan

Ambassador Tichenor visited Jordan for an on-the-ground view of humanitarian activities in that country and to attend the “Salute Pavarotti,” a benefit concert held in Petra in support of the Afghanistan programs of the UN High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) and the World Food Program (WFP).  Highlights of the Ambassador’s visit included a discussion with Iraqi refugees at the Hay Nazal Community Center and a field trip to a WFP “food-for-work” program in Ajloun.
